Rui Jorge Branco Cavaleiro is an internationally acclaimed architect with experience in innovative contemporary architectural designs and urbanism, with a degree in Architecture from FAUP (Oporto University) and a Postgraduate in Project Planning and Urban Environment in FAUP / FEUP (Oporto University).
As a principal Architect with Branco Cavaleiro Architects based in Portugal since 2002, Cavaleiro conducts studies and projects in specialty areas – architecture and urban planning at international level. He develops design of furniture, fixtures and signage activities in Design and Interior Architecture areas.
Since 1998, Cavaleiro has been a Teacher in the School of Technology and Management, Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC) and a coordinator of the Environment Design degree since May 2013.
He is a Guest speaker in conferences and seminars in Portugal, Italy and Spain. He has authored several articles published in specialised journals. Damilola is a Brand and Communication Professional with over seven (7) years’ experience in building brands and solving complex communication challenges, hinged on strong consumer insights and trends, using traditional and new media.
With a strong background in copywriting, he has worked on several brands including Intercontinental Bank, FCMB and Pan Ocean Oil, to mention a few. He developed the ‘stand by you’ radio jingle for the defunct Intercontinental Bank.
Damilola was part of the creative team that developed the marketing and communication strategy for Honeywell Semolina and Wheat Meal’s introduction to the Nigerian market and also was also part of the creative and communication team for the Action Congress of Nigeria 2011 presidential campaign.
In 2012, he was assigned the creative director and content provider for a radio technology show titled Digital Passion. Through a 3rd party, he developed a Social Interactive Idea for MTN intended to run on the ‘MTN Pulse’ platform for their youth market, themed “MTN Play 4 Fun’ which was aimed at increasing their youth subscriber’s base as well as positioning them as an innovative brand.
Damilola has performed in senior position as brand and communications executive in the Real Estate/Construction industry as well as gained experience working as head of communications for the Anglophone West African Region of an international Non-Governmental Organization. He is a versatile and highly skilled communication expert with hands-on experience in the creation and implementation of strategic communication collaterals and effective media relationship management.
As a testament to his ingenuity, his Television commercials titled ‘Landlord Palaver’, won a LAIF Award (Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival) in 2010.
He is a graduate of Communications and Language Art, University of Ibadan with a certificate in New Business Model in Society from the University of Virginia.
