Moments at Paris Fashion Week 2016
France’s Capital and Europe’s centre for art, fashion, and culture, Paris can now pause for breath, after hosting five days of a jam packed celebration of style, runway drama and backstage anticipation – the Paris Fashion Week 2016.
Today, we explore all the newsworthy moments from Kim Kardashian’s traumatic robbery to the top Hotel options, tourist attractions and style trends for this season.
The splendid week, saw new styles trend on the runways, the high seas have taken over paying close attention to nautically inspired threads. Chic clothes inspired by the 80’s took centre stage – metallic, leather and tights.
High fliers such as stylista and pop&RnB singer Rihanna, the fashion queen herself, Anna Wintour and the infamous Kardashian clan, were all seen gracing the front rows of some of the shows. High-end designs were notable, as the top quality garments flowed across the runways.
However, a sudden turn of events almost took the shine off the Parish Fashion Week as Reality TV Star Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gun point by men dressed as Police Officers at her private apartment. Her stolen luxury jewelry is estimated to cost $11 Million.
The Five men reportedly threatened the mansion Concierge with a weapon, handcuffed him and forced him to open the private apartment. Two of the men were able to gain entry to Kardashian West’s room, and held her at gunpoint. Luckily reports from the French Interior Ministry said no one was hurt during the incident and that the men did not fire their weapons. Mrs Kardashian who has since left France, is now on the chase for justice and recovery of her stolen Jewelry. Experts argue that security precautions taken on valuable luxury items greatly increase the chances of recovery.
