Hospitality Beyond Earth; Hilton to design World’s first Hotel in Space
-The Space hotel which is slated to open by 2027 plans to accommodate 280 guests and 112 crew members.
A truly out-of-this-world holiday experience is set to become available by 2027 as hospitality giant Hilton has partnered with Voyager Space Holdings to design an Earth-orbiting space hotel called starlab.
Although it’s initially being designed for use by astronauts, this project is taking humanity one step closer to making space travel more commonplace and accessible.
The physics involved in sleeping within the space hotel is similar to spinning water in a bucket. Much in the same way one can spin a bucket in a circle, keeping the water inside of it, the space hotel would simulate gravity in a similar manner. This makes comfortable rooms and stylish bar experiences possible.
There are plans for recreational activities such as basketball games where participants can soar higher due to the weightlessness of the environment. Perhaps only in outer space will LeBron James have competition.
-As Bella Hadid rocks a dress created in 9 minutes using the spray-on fabrican technology
Bella Hadid was Paris Fashion Week‘s poster girl this season, there’s no doubt about it.
The runway performance at the end of Coperni’s show offered many of the internet’s favourite things:
a nearly-naked supermodel, 1990s fashion nostalgia and a historic moment that melded fashion, art, and technology.
Nine minutes: That’s all it took for two technicians from Fabricant,
a London-based science and design company, to create a bodycon dress for Bella Hadid by spray painting the instant,
non-woven fabric directly onto her body that metamorphosed into a dress.
The dress had no seams and no hem. And, from afar,
the fabric looked like a smooth jersey that appeared to move with the ease of a T-shirt.
But when Hadid completed a lap around the runway, one could see a gentle texturing reminiscent of water droplets.
